• We believe that God designed each one of us and made us in his image. We believe that each child develops, learns, and progresses at a different rate and that learning is a process, not a destination. We are dedicated to making learning both educational & fun at TNP!

  • Our classrooms use the WEE Learn Curriculum.

Each of our classrooms has many different centers for your child to role play practicing life skills such as leading by playing home living, store management, artistic expression through drawing and painting, music and dancing, and sculpture with Play Doh. There are also puzzles, building blocks, a water table/ sand table, and science experiments. Activities that help your child develop fine motor skills, spatial awareness, sustained attention, and other necessary cognitive skills to prepare them for their eventual graduation from preschool and admittance to kindergarten with confidence.

  • We are licensed by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

  • Our 2 and 3 year old classrooms can hold a maximum of 10 students at a time and our VPK classroom can hold a maximum of 20 students at a time.

All classes have staff to meet the state required ratios and we strive to have additional staffing, to allow us to give more individualized attention to each student in our school family.

  • Our Lead Teachers have an educational background in early childhood or elementary education or a CDA credential.

All staff are required to have a Background screening, First Aid & CPR training and to complete the 45 hours of training by the State of Florida & DCF.

Our VPK staff have additional training specific to the VPK program, including early Mathematical & Early Literacy trainings.

We have also trained our staff in the 7 principals of Conscious Discipline. Each year our staff complete a minimum of 10 additional hours of continuing education, as well.

  • We practice Conscious Discipline. A research-based program that helps adults stay calm enough to see misbehavior and upset as a signal to teach instead of punishing. It provides effective strategies for teaching social-emotional and life skills to children.

    From the Conscious Discipline website:

For over 20 years, Conscious Discipline has fostered a fundamental shift in thinking that empowers adults and children to be the change they want to see in the world.

Conscious Discipline is an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach. It is recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration’s (SAMHSA’s) National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP), and received high ratings in 8 of 10 categories in a Harvard analysis of the nation’s top 25 social-emotional learning programs. The Harvard study’s authors say, “Conscious Discipline provides an array of behavior management strategies and classroom structures that teachers can use to turn everyday situations into learning opportunities.”

If you would like to learn more about Conscious Discipline, you can take to the director about resources we have available and you can view their website here.

  • We use the Ages & Stages Questioner for both of our younger classes and VPK has 3 assessments per year which are established by the State. We offer individual parent teacher conferences as needed, twice a year.

  • We have an Emergency Health Policy which is a fluid document and can be revised at any time or as needed. We also have an alternate safe location that we can evacuate to, in the event that our building should ever become unsafe/compromised for any reason. We have monthly safety drills which help us to be well prepared in the case of an emergency.

  • We love to keep parents involved in their child’s education! Our staff and teachers keep communication open with parents through out the school day by using the brightwheel app to send messages, updates, and photos of activities.

Several times a year we offer a special themed based learning room where parents are welcome to sign up to volunteer and help facilitate the themed activities in the room.

We also try to open up opportunities for parents to volunteer to help facilitate our special events, like our Thanksgiving Feast, Crazy Hat Parade, and Easter Egg Hunts.

  • Each year is different, but we have offered Soccer and Musical Enrichment at an additional cost, in the past. Currently we offer this in house, for our students enrolled in our Creative Learners Program. We offer Music & Drama introduction in the early mornings and extra Large Motor Development Activities, in the afternoons, which is included in the Creative Learners fees.

  • We are a nonprofit preschool and are an extension of the ministry of Neighborhood Alliance Church of the Christian & Missionary Alliance denomination.

We report to our church Board of Ministries of NAC.

  • Feel free to read our school’s statement of faith from the ASCI, with whom we are licensed through! Each child will hear Bible stories, verses, and concepts appropriate for their age and taught through stories, songs, games, dramatic activities, and other ways that make the stories meaningful in the here and now. Everyday experiences will be interpreted in ways consistent with the biblical understanding of God’s plan for all people and consistent with the theological position of the church.
